Dr J. Hostetter's / Stomach Bitters. Base: 4 within a larger C.. Spirits. Bitters. Square. Applied top. A bright Yellow Amber. 20 oz. 227 mm. 1870s - 1880s
Very Good. (7.5). Polished. A little bit of fine etching remains internally and under the base. 4 x 2 mm shallow bruise to left shoulder. Lower rear panel has a small patch of deep wear near the edge. Base edge has a couple of tiny surface flakes and some minor nibbled marks, there is one shallow sliver to rear base edge. Short, pitted scratch under heel. Remains of a few scratches and the odd scuff mark. Embossing remains very strong and crisp. Lovely bright amber colour. Estimate: $20-40
