Amber glass light green sack type bottle (flat) with trailed glass spiral around the neck. Pontil. . Early Glass. Black Glass. Amber glass light green sack type bottle (flat) with trailed glass spiral around the neck. 293 mm. 1700s
Excellent. (8.8). Possibly a Persian saddle flask or rose water bottle. Inner dark lines look to be some form of contents residue staining, looks like this will soak out. A little outer grime looks like it will clean off as well. A few scratches, the odd scuff mark and a tiny impact nick or two. The neck spirals are often chipped on this type of bottle, not this one at all, just one tiny burst bubble to it. Pontil has an associated chip under the base. A nice piece of glass, this looks to be quite an early piece, it is finer than the mostly heavy chunky pieces we have handled in the past. We did handle a green example like this fine piece in Auction 29, we have not handled an amber example before. Estimate: $200-300
