J. Mosley / (Swallow) / Swallow Brand / Registered / York // Wm Barnard / & Sons / London. No Base Mark. (Western Australia). Aerated Water. Codd. Applied top. Two way pour Niagara codd with four tear drops. Aqua. 10 oz. 233 mm. 1890s
Excellent. (8). Pretty much as found. Large patch of rust to upper right and rear, another smaller patch of rust to lower badge at front. This is not chunky rust that sometimes causes flaking, this looks like it will soak out with rust buster or similar. Looks a bit dull, but this is predominantly inner dirt, which again will soak out. Crudely applied lip, where the inner lip meets the body is slightly offset from making, this part is a bit nibbled, also from making. A few light fisheyes. A few slightly scuffed scratches. Some other fine scratches and the odd little scuff mark. Tiny surface nick or two. Embossing is good with just a couple of letters showing some minor high point wear. A good clean will leave a great example of a very rare bottle! Note that this is NOT a Dobson patent, I have never seen a Niagara style codd from this company before! Estimate: $750-1000
