Superior / Pasmanian / Ginger Beer. Potters Stamp: Singer & Green / Potters / Vauxhall. (Tasmania). Ginger Beer. Impressed. Dump. Pale Salt Glaze. Impressed. 10 oz. 164 mm. 1850s
Excellent. (8). Here's the thing about the condition of this one, there are faults everywhere! But there is a big gouge in the front right top, from making. A kiln kiss to the back lip. Too much salt giving a dull and then burnt patch over the shoulder. The potters stamp has been partly applied a second time. There is an actual chip at the back base in a Crown shape over 18 x up to 5 mm. From this is a very fine hairline that runs about 25 mm just above the base edge. Overall just a wonderful, crude, early piece of pottery. And the English potters were supposed to be so much better at the time! Estimate: $300-600
