Excellent. (N/A). At the eye piece end is a screw on brass cap to protect the lens, the opposite end has a slide on brass cap for protection. Leather and binding has a few spots of wear, but is really good for its age. Brass has some discolouration, wear and verdigris in places, but again, really good. Some scratches and minor marks. Toose was an optician in Sydney for 40 years up until around 1918, the last time he advertises in newspapers, he was a prolific advertiser during his reign - including advertising his telescopes and spyglasses in the 1890s!
