Success To Bullock Drivers brass cow bell with original donger.. Metalware. Cow Bell. Brass cow bell with metal handle and donger. About 105 mm high without handle. Width is about 113 mm (4.5 inch).. 19th century
Very Good. (N/A). The handle slides up a bit, taking the donger with it which is attached to the inner handle. This section is metal and quite rusty, but solid. Bell itself is brass, this is pitted with some minor dints. Some scratches as well. There is some green verdigris in places. Either side of the handle where the writing is, there is a hole on either side which goes through the writing, not sure if this is as made or not? I can't see the reason for drilling these aftermarket, nor whilst being made for that matter. Very interesting cow bell, we haven't sold one before with bullock drivers on it! Estimate: $300-400
