Paris Exhibition 1878.. Pot Lid. Prattware. Large multicoloured round Pratt lid. No base. 105 mm across. 1860s
Good. (6.8). 11 x 5 mm filled flake to underside of rim at right. The inner flange in this same region has a filled chip as well, of unknown size due to the paintwork, bigger than the rim flake but nothing huge by any means. Some discolouration. Crazing throughout, this is a bit dark in places with a few lines looking a little like hairlines. Nice lid that you don't see often. No base with this one. This is Lid 148 in "The price guide to pot-lids and other underglaze colour prints on pottery, A. Ball, 1970." Estimate: $30-50
