Sold for A$50
OConnor Brother s / Trade / (Harp) / Mark / Sydney. Looks like a poorly applied Mashman / Chatswood stamp to the front base that has mangled the bottom of the word Sydney. (New South Wales).. Ginger Beer. Cork Stoppered. Dump shape. Salt glaze. Impressed. 10 oz. 172 mm. 1890s-1900s
Very Good. (7). We sold this bottle in Auction 17 with the following description: "30 x 15 mm chip under the back base edge. Interesting line down the back, looks like that part of bottle has been exposed somewhere with high traffic and has been worn down. Just light marks anywhere else. Good stamp apart from at the bottom where the potters stamp has smudged through part of the word Sydney. Good looking bottle." The buyer has had the base chip repaired and the rear wear has been very well painted over to disguise it. Grading is as per the original listing. Estimate: $50-75
