L. J. McGaw / + Traralgon +. Base: M. (Victoria). Aerated Water. Codd. Dobson or Four way type. Spun finished top. Aqua. 10 oz. 234 mm. 1910s
Good. (6.3). 14 mm fracture running vertically from the lip down to the lower part of the rubber ring groove to the back left, just a little behind where the seam line would run to. The front lip has two curved finer fractures just to the inner lip and running up to the surface of the top, these are more like annealing lines and don't go through the full thickness of the glass. Body of the bottle has some general scuffs and scratches with just the odd pit mark about. Slightly heavier wear at the front shoulder and the embossing has a bit of wear over it. This is a good looking example of a very rare Gippsland marble bottle. Estimate: $400-800
