Very Good. (7.4). Intially we graded this as Excellent with "Just light scuffs and wear over the body. Bit of dullness on the top. Wonderful colour and a unique style for Australian beer bottles. Rare too!"
However, we now know that the dullness on the top is actually where a previous owner had sent this over to the UK to be repaired due to a small chip to the lip. The UK repairer apparently said it was too small to fill, so simply reshaped the lip slightly to remove this chip, a superb job which really is not noticeable except for a slightly different texture. Upon close inspection, I cannot see any fill at all and so it does indeed just seem to be a minor reshaping, so this bottle remains a beautiful example of a rare bottle. Estimate: $2500-5000
