(Huge Thistle with smaller thistles, leaves and the like all around) // JD Monogram on back shoulder / Large oval label space. Base: James Dickson / Leith.. Spirits. Whisky/Whiskey. Very heavily embossed cylinder. Applied ring seal flared top. Aqua. 26 oz. 295 mm. 1860s
Good. (6.4). Heavily stained all over and inside. Still dirty inside too. 4 x 2 mm chip to the left lip. 7 x 7 mm chip under the right base edge. Parts of the capsule still around the neck. Scratches all around. Some rust stain stuck on in places. The stain on the back label space is rough and pitted and there is the remains of some sticker stuck on here also. Stain to the front and elsewhere looks like it will clean up really well. Classic bottle with superb embossing of course. Needs some careful cleaning. Estimate: $800-1500
