Very Good. (7.4). 13 x 8 mm chip to outer lip near the second C of Chancellor, this only just touches the edge of the letter. Wicker basket is pretty solid, though it has no base. Looking through the gaps the demijohn looks quite solid with no evidence of any cracks to be found, the base is relatively undamaged as well - a couple of flat chips to the heel look to possibly be from making. Rare demijohn from Tasmania, this is the first we have sold. Edward Chancellor was a Hobart Wine & Spirits Merchant from 1873 until the 1970s. Estimate: $200-300
