Possibly a thin flake to front hat edge, it blends in really well if it is a flake. A fabulous selection of bonnet dolls. 5. Mint. Looks as made, just a little grime in places. The key is, when was this made? Obviously never buried. I have a feeling this is a more recent doll's head, based upon the great condition of the metal weight mechanism inside, the eye lashes and the fact this has lips painted on and not a separate set of teeth like the early doll's heads did. A lovely doll's head in this larger size, in great condition. Estimate: $50-100
