Inks: Four stoneware cone inks, including a couple of unusual variations.. Ink. Stoneware. Four stoneware cone inks, including a couple of unusual variations. 73 - 93 mm. 1900s

N/A. (N/A). The two left examples are the more standard variations. The first has a nice variable glaze, apart from making marks it is pretty much as made. The second one is darker, has a streak of odd colours down one side. This has a texta 6 under the base, otherwise pretty much as made again. The third one looks like a Melsom from Brisbane, but unmarked. Little lip flake is part of a kiln kiss. Spot or two of rust. Plenty of making marks again. Fine glaze hairline to upper body. Little chip to base edge. Unusual example. The fourth one is very odd indeed, a different shape with a long neck, not one I am familiar with. This is a bit grimy. Nick or two to base edge, some are amongst a kiln kiss type mark. Nice item. Estimate: $30-50
