Robt Thin / Liverpool / Salt. No base embossing. (United Kingdom). Household. Jar. Applied top. Aqua. 2 Pound. 135 mm. 1860s
Very Good. (7.1). Lovely short stubby neck with rolled lip on it. The upper lip is crude with some deep folds and making marks, there are some small nibbled flakes to the sharp edges around here. Some scuffs and scratches in a thin band around the upper body. The upper rear has a fine 7 mm fracture. Heavy usage wear under the base. Little surface bubble or two. Some scratches and scuffs to the body in places. Lovely looking example of this early salt jar from the company better known for their vinegar bottle known as the leaf bottle. Quite a rare jar.. Estimate: $100-150
