1. Label: Carter's Writing Fluid. Blue Black. This is a permanent record ink which writes blue and turns jet black. It is the standard ink for bookkeepers and general office use. The Carter's Ink Co. Boston Montreal New York Chicago. Embossed: 16 Fluid Oz on back shoulder. Base: Carter's / B / No 2. Metal Cap: Pat. (CI Co Monogram) June 27 '93. 2. Caldwell's / Inks. No base mark. (Victoria) 3. - 6. Four inks. No markings other than the taller barrel shape which has an M base mark. (late Ern Taylor collection). Ink. Glass. 1. Cylinder. Ridges at base and shoulder. Ring around neck. Flared out top with seam through lip. Multi-coloured label. Original cork, bakelite top and metal cap. Clear. 16 oz. 2. Tall round barrel shape. Rings around base and shoulder. Tool finished top. Ice Blue. Pint. 3. - 6. Four glass inks. 2 x Shear tops and 2 x tool finished tops. Aqua to Ice Blue. 2 oz. 215, 213 & 75 - 95 mm. 1890s - 1930s

N/A. (N/A). 1. VG. Has an impact mark at the front left base edge with a surface fracture that runs over the base edge and is about 20 mm in total. Ink stain inside. A bit dirty and grimy. Some stain and small marks to the label. Nice with original label and even the Carter's metal cap. 2. VG. Dull. Varying stain around. Some scratches. Great embossing. Should clean up very nicely. 3. - 6. Nice group of inks. No big faults, mostly just differing degrees of stain and light marks. One small chip/bruise to one of the Cotton reels. Barrel shapes are a bit unusual. (late Ern Taylor Collection). Estimate: $50-80
