H. Ovenden / Whittlesea. Base Mark: A G M. (Victoria) Aerated Water Internal Thread Applied top, tooled finish. Aqua. 26 oz. 262 mm. 1920s
Very Good. Has the stopper it was found with in place, which I feel is original. It is an oddly straight, plain stopper. Heavy annealing fractures to inner neck from making. Tiny surface impact to left rear neck. Inner dirt and light haze in places should mostly soak out. Left rear shoulder has a nibbled impact over a small airbubble. Next to the O to mid front is a nibbled impact flake over about 4 x 4 mm. Tiny surface impact flake to lower front left. Nibbled surface flake near front left base edge below the A, this is very small as well. Tiny nick to left heel. Some scuffs and scratches. Still has some dirt around the embossing, this was found decades ago with a few others in Whittlesea, it would have been given a quick rinse and that stored away until now. Since these were found, no others have ever surfaced. A rare bottle! This is from the late Roy Millar collection. Grade: 7.4 Estimate: $300 - 400
