N/A. (N/A). 1. Good. Stained including a rough feeling etched surface. Unusual bottle with the slug plate embossing. Looks a little later than the advertisements I quickly found around 1898/9. No big faults. Should clean up ok. 2. Good. 5 x 3 mm chip to the lip. 15 x 5 mm frown shaped bruise on the other side of the lip. There are unsurprisingly some burst and open bubbles at the surface as there has to be with this many bubbles through the glass. Mostly found in Melbourne at Dudley Flats these are from Powditch's Pino factory in Brunswick which ran roughly 1911 - 1921. 3. VG. At the right base edge is a shallow slice type 25 x 6 mm chip which is under a burst bubble of about 6 x 5 mm. Lip is good with just some roughness from its crude making. Great embossing. Lot of bubbles. Lid is just a generic Masons lid but fits well. Nice jar. 4. Good. Early variety of these. A bit dirty and stained. 8 mm fracture across the back at the wider part. Very shallow 3 x 3 mm chip over the top of the back lip. Some fine scuffs and wear. Interesting bottle. 5. VG. Shallow 4 x 4 mm chip on top of the lip. Some dried up contents inside the base. Bit of hazy stain. Light scuffs and scratches. Nice bottle. An interesting Geelong bottle sold by Hoopers Grocers. (late Ern Taylor Collection). Estimate: $80-120
