Victorian Child's Sepia Monochrome Plate: Dr Franklin's Maxims / he that by the Plough would thrive, himself must either hold or drive. / The eye of the master will do more work then both his hands.. Pottery. Plate. Sepia monochrome plate with raised border. 168 mm across. 1850s
Very Good. (7.1). About a 50 mm hairline in from the rim. Little nibbled spot of wear through the glaze to the face edge. A bit of very minor discolouration. Some fine crazing. Possibly a makers mark underneath, there is what may be the outlines of a crown? A nice and early plate, possibly 1850s or thereabouts?. Estimate: $30-50
