R. Ellis / Chemist / Ruthin / Manufacturer // To The Royal Family / Highly Concentrated / Soda Water. (United Kingdom). Aerated Water. Torpedo. Applied rolled lip. Deep Aqua. 10 oz. 220 mm. 1840s
Very Good. (7.2). Really early example, probably 1840s. The 1850s examples are Australian found for sure, I can vouch for that having found one personally. Some minor splits to inner lip from making. Some dark inclusions in lip from making as well. Small spot of deep wear near the base point. A little inner water type stain looks like it will soak out. A bit of wear around the wide part of the outer body including some consistent, even crate wear across the embossing. Heavy band of wear to seams in this wide part of the body as well. Scuffs and scratches scattered around. Pitted scratch to inner upper neck behind the lip. 8 mm pitted scratch to mid neck has a really small surface flake at the end of it. Lovely bottle in this really early variation, we haven't sold this variety before.. Estimate: $150-200
