Very Good. (N/A). Some dust and grime. A little corrosion to the metal parts Some little dints and knocks to the wood. Some scratches. A fabulous reel, the vendor has a note with it which is worth sharing, "This wooden spool Alvey side cast reel, was given to me at Wilpena in 1978/9 by a Scotsman named Jock Mason. He had been a paratrooper in WW 2 and fortunate to survive operation "Market Garden", featured in the film "A Bridge Too Far". he was a very dour man as you might expect, but was as we would say, a great 'bloke'. He used the reel during the 60s to early 70s when he worked on Aboriginal reserves such as Maningrida and Milingimbi in the Top End. It would have accounted for numerous Barramundi and other tropical species.". Estimate: $100-150
