Rare Thornton Pickard triple Imperial camera with triple extension, half plate and lens, including original tripod.. Miscellaneous. Camera. Rare Thornton Pickard triple Imperial camera with triple extension, half plate and Beck Symmetrical Lens, including original tripod. Frame is about 290 mm high at rear behind bellows. 1910s
Very Good. (N/A). This is mahogany with brass trim and strips above and below roller blind shutter, with leather bellows. The wood parts have some scratches and little knocks, but pretty good. Bellows have a few little holes and some minor deterioration, but again pretty good overall. Some dust in places. I've just fiddled with every knob, lever, etc, and it looks like everything still functions, although I don't know what does what? This has a tripod, or is it two? One item looks like a stand alone tripod which is taller but would only mount a smaller camera. The other set of three legs looks like what I can find online as being the correct tripod for this camera, not sure how it mounts still, but looks the part, the taller one is just an added bonus. A great item, highly sought after amongst camera collectors, you will not come across another one of these in a hurry. This also comes with a photocopied facsimile about Thonrton-Pickard and their products back in the day.. Estimate: $750-1000
