Hall & Sons / Norwood / Jas Turton / Maker. (South Australia). Ginger Beer. Impressed. Salt glaze with impressed writing. Dump shape. 178 mm. 1880s
Good. (7.5). As is typical of these it is quite difficult to tell what is damage and what was caused by the potter. A big dip in the lip is as made but it does have at least one small chip on the edge. A bit of wear. Glaze is poorly and unevenly applied. Some stain and crazing as well. Base edge has some indents from making but probably some chips also. The stamps are both pretty clear. Let's face it if you want one of these then you want it to be typically rough and this one delivers!. Estimate: $100-150
