J. C. Andrews / Trade (A) Mark / & Sons / Korumburra / & Nanine W.A // M. G. B. Co. Base Mark: A. (Victoria, Western Australia). Aerated Water. Codd. Applied top. Three way pour "Hills" type patent with three triangles. Aqua. 10 oz. 231 mm. 1890s-1900s
Good. (6.1). This is the very same bottle we sold in Auction 31. The description then was, "There is a fairly shallow 6 x 5 mm chip at the front right lip. Little fleabites elsewhere to the lip. Dull and has a bit of usage wear, the inner marble chamber shows a bit of wear as well. Slight opalescence to the surface. Rare bottle and this is a solid one that will clean up better if so desired." Since then the bottle has been polished and the lip chip has been ground down. There is a bruise to the left lip as well. Now that the outside is shiny, the inner chamber wear shows up a bit more, and the pitted marks and fisheyes are also a little more obvious. Crate wear to the embossing as well. Remains a very rare bottle.. Estimate: $1500-2000
