E. Rowlands. Potters stamp: Mashman / Chatswood. (New South Wales) Ginger Beer Cork Stoppered Dump. Salt Glaze. Impressed. 10 oz. 170 mm. 1890s
Very Good. 5 x 5 mm flake type mark to outer front lip is likely a kiln kiss. Another to rear lip. Some fine glaze wear around the lip and shoulder. Small kiln kiss to front shoulder. Thin blowout type mark to right rear shoulder. Shallow chip under base edge below potters stamp is only 7 x 6 mm. Couple of other shallow heel flakes, some small flakes and wear to base edge too. A few small glaze flakes to body and some spots of wear. Nicely impressed. Glaze is quite shiny throughout, including across the entire base. Grade: 7.6 Estimate: $40 - 60
