Three Tooheys Skittles: All three embossed - Toohey's. Smooth base. (Sydney, New South Wales) Aerated Water Various 1. Large blob top skittle. Aqua. Applied top. 10 oz. 2. & 3. Small blob top skittles. Spun Finished and Applied tops. Aqua. 6 oz. 207, 175 & 170 mm. 1900s - 1910s
1. Fair. Dull and worn throughout. Lip has a 14 x 6 mm chipped area and around this is a bruise that covers about 25 x 10 mm. The other side of the lip has a small impact mark with a 10 x 7 mm bruise around it. At the lower left side is an inclusion that has a 15 x 9 mm butterfly shaped fracture and bruise around it. Scuffs and wear. Great, strong embossing. Not one you see too often. 2. Very Good. Has a fine corking bruise on the inner lip of about 6 x 5 mm. Pretty much the whole base has small nibbles, flakes and wear but all fairly minor up to just a few mm. A few scratches and marks around. Really nice embossing. Unusual little bottle. 3. Very Good. Chips of 5 x 4 and 5 x 2 mm to the outer and inner front and right lip. Nibbles and wear join the two chips. Some haze. A few deeper scuffs and scratches. Two or three small chips/flakes to the base edge. Larger embossing on this applied top example. Grade: N/A Estimate: $50 - 75
