Lot 541: Edwards Murphy Premier Ginger Beer Bottle Rockhampton

Very Good. Two thirds of the outer lip and all the top lip have had the glaze ground off. It's done in such an even way that it seems deliberate. The inner neck has some cement or similar substance stuck to it, I cleaned some away and there is original glaze underneath. Bottle is stained inside and you can see a fine hairline across the base and up one side. On the outside there is a hairline from the lower front right base edge, through the edge of the badge up to mid bottle (about 80 mm in total). Dark scrape to the front shoulder and a couple of smaller scrapes and scratches around. Large glazed over making indent to the back left at lower mid bottle. Some minor nibbling at the base edge. Good looking bottle and hard to get. Grade: 7.4 Estimate: $300 - 400
