Large Chinese pottery bowl. Blue & White patterns inside. Brown outside and to the rim with a dark line around the mid outside. Chinese Bowl Large ceramic bowl. Blue & White inside. Brown with dark line outside. 277 mm diameter. 18th - 19th Century
Good. Two large chips on the rim almost opposite each other: 25 x 15 mm and 28 x 8 mm. From the first mentioned chip runs a crack of about 80 mm down to the base - this crack can be seen and felt both on the inner and outer sides of the bowl. From the end of this is a much finer line that can be seen in and outside the base. Also on the inner base are a bunch of curved and straight hairlines but these aren't visible on the outside. Numerous small iron spots and kiln blowouts mainly in the blue and white area. Scratches and wear inside from use. A nice unusual piece of chinese pottery. Grade: 6 Estimate: $100 - 150
