Thos J. Green / Trade (Swan) Mark / Morang // Lemonade. Base: M. (Victoria) Aerated Water Codd Dobson or Four way type. Spun finished top. Aqua. 10 oz. 231 mm. 1910s
Good. Polished. Lip has been ground back, remains of a chip to the inner front lip, another impact flake to inner rear lip has an associated upper lip fracture over about 12 mm. Inner chamber is pitted. Small fractured bubble to right outer chamber. A few pitted scratches to inner rear. Shallow burst bubble to lower front right. The polish has been heavy with extensive work prior to minimise pits and impact marks throughout. The rear embossing has been flattened, what is there has heavy crate wear. Front embossing is better, quite strong, but heavily pitted crate wear across much of it. Remains of some fisheyes and impact marks in places. Has been pretty poor prior to the polish, now is a presentable example of a classic Victorian codd bottle. Grade: 6 Estimate: $200 - 300
