Small black glass mallet type bottle. Pontil scar to base. Hand picked design etched into the glass: Margaret Stewart 1877 (around a Love Heart) // (Bird on a Branch) // (Sailing Ship) // (Scotch Thistle). Fancy pattern around main design and shoulder. Black Glass Whimsy Small Squat Mallet shape. Applied double collar top. Black. About 5 oz. 152 mm. 1877 (although bottle itself could be much earlier)
Excellent. Quite a bit of wear on the base so it has been moved on a shelf a lot. Minor marks otherwise. A really lovely piece of this type of thing. Crudely made bottle, the base of the neck is really lopsided. Grade: 8 Estimate: $50 - 75
