Large Stoneware Bellarmine or Bartmann Jug: Ugly bearded face to neck / Stippled 4 to shoulder.
Pottery Stoneware Large round stoneware jug. Salt Glaze. 4 Litres. 455 mm. 1700s
Very Good. Glaze wear to upper lip. Couple of small flakes to outer lip. 30 mm flake to rear base edge. Some other wear and little flakes to base edge. Some blow outs from making. Kiln kiss or two. Some scratches and minor marks. Eyeballs of man are chipped, quite effectual really! Some wear to his beard. We have sold a few of these now, this is by far the largest! A wonderful piece!
