Pair of Dr Law's bottles: 1. Dr Law's / Cough Balsam. Base: 4192. 2. Phosphated / Cough Balsam // Dr (Registered in a Diamond) Law's. Base: 213. (Victoria) Medicine Cure Oblong with panelled front and sides. First one embossed to the front. second one to the sides. Tool finished tops. Aqua. About 4 oz. 150 & 146 mm. 1880s-1890s
Both are heavily stained and the second one has two chips to the top. Most Dr Law's bottles were products of R. F. Kennedy at Warrnambool. However C. C. Forster at Stawell also applied for a trade mark for Dr Law's Phosphated Cough Balsam so possibly the second bottle here is from him? Either way these are quite early and hard to find Victorian cures. Grade: N/A Estimate: $30 - 40
