Newling Bros // Trade (Crossed Rifles) Mark / Parramatta. Base Mark: BGW. (New South Wales) Aerated Water Codd Applied top. Four way pour Dobson style patent with four dimples. Aqua. 13 oz. 215 mm. 1890s
Good. Polished extensively. 5 x 4 mm bruise to lip on trade mark side, small ground flake near this is now a flat spot. 4 x 2 mm impact mark near the G of Newling. Plenty of fisheyes remaining. Around the base edge the bottle is very pitted with divots all around as if it were a golf course after I have had a round. Embossing is rounded and indistinct in places, with plenty of nicks and fisheyes across it. I wonder if this rare bottle was meant to be an Empress Patent? The neck groove is distinctly on an angle. We've never sold one of these rare bottles before. Grade: 6 Estimate: $100 - 150
