6 UK pot lids: 1. & 2. Large and small Boots Cash Chemists Cherry Tooth Paste. 3. & 4. Two variations of W. Woods, Plymouth Areca Nut 6d Tooth Paste. 5. & 6. Black and white and a coloured Queen's head pot lid from John Gosnell & Co Ltd, London. Pot Lid Miscellaneous All are black print on a white lid, except for the coloured Gosnell which is a yellow green colour. Various. 1900s

1. Very Good. Nice larger example. Tiny nick to rim. Lower flange edge has an impact with a small horseshoe hairline. Couple of little flakes to the bottom part of the flange. Some odd glaze flaking to the underside of the lid. Minor spots of discolouration. 2. Very Good. Print is more grey than black. Dark scrape to outer rim. A few tiny flakes to the bottom of the flange. One impact with a minor horseshoe hairline over a very short distance. 3. Excellent. A smaller one with just W. Woods on it. A few minor discoloured spots. A few scratches and minor marks. Very crudely made lid, one surface glaze hairline to inner flange is only about 10 mm long. 4. Very Good. Larger one with W. Woods MPS. There is a scrape through the glaze to the lower rim. Some stain. Couple of small flakes to the lower flange. Some scratches. 5. Poor. This has been glued together. Stained. This is the only lid in the group that comes with a base. 6. Very Good. A few small nicks to the outer rim. A few tiny flakes to the lower flange. Crazed throughout with some discolouration amongst it. Nice yellowy green sort of colour. Grade: N/A Estimate: $40 - 60
