Pair of Pharmacy Items: 1. Chemist shop carboy stopper. (Stopper only) 2. Cobalt stoppered chemist bottle with remains of painted label. Base Mark: Pontil. Pharmacy Various Various 237 & 151 mm. 1880s-1900s
1. Very Good. This would have been in one of those impressive carboys such as the swan neck examples that are so highly sought after. So, if you have one without a stopper, herein lies a great opportunity. Chip to the very top has an associated flake and sliver. Stained internally. A few tiny flakes at top of the ground section. A few fine scuffs and scratches. 2. Very Good. Some dust and grime. Inner contents residue staining. Usage wear under base. Some grime and surface dullness externally. Couple of flakes from the pontil under the base which would be from making. The gold leaf label with black print is largely worn off, you can only make out a G now. Grade: N/A Estimate: $30 - 40
