J. G. Derwin / (J.G.D in a Diamond) / Parkes // This bottle / is the property of / J. G. Derwin Parkes. Base: AGM. (New South Wales) Household Cordial Shouldered cylinder. Amber. Early machine made top. 26 oz. 304 mm. 1920s
Very Good. May actually grade a lot better after a clean as this mainly only has dirt and surface grime over it. Much of this, if not all, looks like it will soak out. There is a tiny flake to the inner rear lip. Tiny surface impact flake to front base edge, can only just be felt. One or two other base nicks. Tiny impact nick to front just below the embossing. A few light scuffs and scratches. The inner stain looks very much like it will soak out, a water type stain that should come off with Rustbuster or the likes. Externally the spotty dark stain on the surface down the right definitely will come off as I have just removed a small part of it. There may be a very faint dullness afterwards, but this bottle is pretty much in Excellent condition. Not only that, but extremely rare, we have never seen an amber one of these! Grade: 7.7 Estimate: $750 - 1000
