Squat Chinese Ink with Characters to base. Chinese Brown glazed ink with pouring spout. 92 mm. 1900s
Very Good. We have sold one of these before in a taller size, as well as one this size with a repair. 12 x 8 mm chip to rear lip. Rusty lip. Some little flakes to outer lip edge, amongst glaze pools, some of these are likely from making. Rust to body. Glaze flake to the body as well. About 20 mm of base edge has a thin flake type mark, with the glaze around this as it is, this appears to be from making. Some wear and scratches to the glaze. The characters on the base are embossed within a diamond on the recessed base. You don't see these Chinese inks for sale very often. Grade: 7.2 Estimate: $50 - 75
