S in a wreath / Silvershine. Base: M. (Sydney, New South Wales) Household Polish Blake or Oblong. Tool finished lip. Amber. 8 oz. 164 mm. 1900s
Good. Dull. Fold in the lip with a 2 x 2 mm flake at the end of it. Impact at the lower right front corner with a curved 18 mm crack running along the underside base edge. Surface is scuffy and scratched. There are later Silvershine's mentioned in advertising but the age of this bottle suggests the most likely manufacturer is Cowell & Fowler of Bathurst Street, Sydney in the mid 1900s. Unusual bottle with attractive embossing. Grade: 6.5 Estimate: $30 - 40
