Very Good. George Dickson Brown applied for the Yallourn Hotel licence in December 1927, a new building which had not yet been erected, there were some objections due to it being in the proximity of a place of worship. When it finally opened in October 1928,opening day saw 170 mean lined up upon opening, 370 men were in the hotel at 5:30 pm - not a bad way to start in my mind! The rear base edge has a small sliver flake. A little bit of dullness in places. Looks to have had some use with scuffs and scratches scattered around. A nice pub glass from the original publican of the Yallourn Hotel, who looks to have been instrumental in erecting another hotel prior in Ouyen. Grade: 7.5 Estimate: $30 - 50
