Large size Batty salad oil. Base Mark: (British Registration Diamond). (Registered on the 14th of February 1853 by: John Cliff Quince, London). Goldfields Salad Oil Applied top. Aqua. 26 oz. 364 mm. 1850s
Very Good. Stained throughout. Some lip capsule remains. Some spots of rust. Stain is opalescent in places. Impact with 5 x 4 mm bruise to mid rear body. Impact type mark to base edge over a small bubble has caused that bubble to burst. Little impact nick or two. Some scratches and minor marks. Interesting that the registration diamond is quite clear on this one, and that the results show that this was registered to John Cliff Quince, London on 14th February, 1853. Grade: 7.2 Estimate: $250 - 350
