C. Tindall / Trade (Train) Mark / Beaconsfield. Base Mark: M. (Tasmania) Aerated Water Codd Applied top, tooled finish. Four way pour Dobson style patent with four dimples. Aqua. 13 oz. 230 mm. 1910s
Good. Looks great throughout - EXCEPT for the left lip. About a third of the inner front and left lip has some nibbled flakes which are not overly bad at all. However, there is a bruise that goes right around this over about 35 x 14 or so mm, and this bruise goes right through the glass thickness in a fractured manner. Lightly oiled inside, although this would not have been necessary. Some fine scuffs and scratches around the shoulder. A bit of crate wear to the word Beaconsfield towards the base. Actually, some minor crate wear to the upper embossing as well, the train is all good. A decent example to fill a gap in your collection, these are rated very highly as they are quite hard to get and there are very few train pictorial codds in Australia. Graded as good as it looks so nice on the shelf, the damage is borderline at a lower grade though. Grade: 6 Estimate: $300 - 400
