Lidded green jar with raised decoration: Dragon, Deer, Chicken?! Original Lid. Chinese Green Round jar. Green glaze. Raised decoration. 185 mm. Late 1800s - 1900s
Very Good. Lid has a couple of small repaired chips to the rim and another repaired chip to the handle. Crazing throughout the jar. Two or three hairlines from the lip down through the body, the most noticeable one can be felt with a fingernail and goes through the back of the Dragon. On the inside of the jar where this main hairline is there has been some filling and work done to the crack itself and probably some shallow chipping around it. A really nice piece of pottery.
