Pair of Ginger Jars & glass Chinese/japanese bottle: 1. Chinese ginger jar with blue brushed design. Also has brush marks under the base. 2. Hexagonal green Chinese ginger jar. 3. Cobalt Flared Lip Bottle with Three Chinese Characters. No base mark. Chinese Ginger Ginger Jars & Cobalt glass bottle 125, 132 & 91 mm. Late 1800s
1. Excellent. Not sure on age, but would be 19th century somewhere. Couple of fine lip hairlines. Stained spot to base edge. Some crazing. Glaze misses. Some base edge nibbles are likely from making. A nice piece of Chinese pottery. 2. Very Good. Small flake to outer lip edge. A few little flakes to inner lip edge. Chip to base edge. Discoloured crazing throughout. Some making marks. The green lower body is actually dark red across two panels, this is as per manufacture. These have been made the same for centuries, and so can be very hard to date. I would suggest that this is later 1800s, possibly into the 1900s, but cannot give a known era for this piece. 3. Good. About a 17 mm section of the lower lip has nibbled and flaked to the front right. Remains of a sticker under the base. A few fine scratches. An unusual Chinese bottle, we haven't sold one like this before. Grade: N/A Estimate: $50 - 75
