Teacup & Saucer. Both have:(Australian Coat of Arms) / Advance Australia / Commonwealth of Australia // (Crossed British & Australian Flags with wreath & star) / (H. M. A. S. Sydney) / H.M.A.S. "Sydney" destroyed the "Emden" / at Keeling Cocos Island Nov. 9. 1914. Saucer also has: One Fleet. One Throne // For Freedom and Honour. No base mark on the cup, Saucer and Plate with Radford's / (Crown) / Crown China / England Pottery Commemorative Porcelain. Coloured decoration. Cup: 70 mm. Saucer 144 mm diameter.. 1915

Good. 30mm dark hairline down one side of the cup. A bit of stain dust and grime. 12 x 7 mm chip to the edge of the saucer with a fine hairline down the edge. Fine hairline to the lower part of the plate. Some other general minor marks. Part of the same (mostly complete) set from last auction consigned to us with instructions to split it up to give a wider number of people a chance to own pieces of this historically interesting commemorative china.
