Pair of Phenyles: 1. Lawes' Fluid / Disinfectant. No base mark. (Jules Renard & Co., Melbourne, Victoria) 2. Hogan Bros & Co / Soluble Phenyle. Base: H. B & Co. (Victoria) Poison Phenyle/Disinfectant Applied top, spun finish. Aqua. 6 oz. 165 & 163 mm. 1900s
1. Very Good. Some dirt and grime which should wash out. A few patches of dullness. Small open bubble or two, plenty of bubbles in the glass and a few inclusions which have no associated damage. A fine scratch or two. A rare brand, not one I recall seeing. 2. Very Good. A little grime. Couple of scratches and a scuff or two to the rear, a few more scratches as well. Little impact nibble to base corner, there is a burst bubble on another corner. Plenty of other little open bubbles as this is absolutely full of bubbles! A wonderful piece of glass.
