Robert Thin / Liverpool with British registration diamond to base (dated 11th May 1858 and registered to John Cummington & Co., Liverpool). Known as the Robert Thin Leaf Bottle. Goldfields Vinegar Applied top. Neck ring. 9 scalloped rips down neck to shoulder, where there is a leaf pattern draped over the shoulder between each of these nine ribs. Six ribs down the bottle at the front from here, with a label space at the rear. There is a leaf pattern at the bottom of each of these six ribs. Aqua. 26 oz. 333 mm. 1850s-1860s
Very Good. Polished. Remains of some etching inside the neck and a little around some of the embossed design. A few pitted scratches can still be seen. Couple of surface bubbles. Odd inclusion type mark to the upper neck. Little nibble to point near base edge. Looks nice, some dull spots but these mostly seem to be fingerprints and the like. Grade: 7.3 Estimate: $150 - 200
