Bright green pickle with upside down heart to front shoulder and on each side as well, anchor to rear shoulder. No base mark. Goldfields Pickle Applied top, tooled finish. Bright Emerald Green. 1 Pint. 202 mm. 1880s
Excellent. May have been oiled internally, there is some fine inner base dust and grime. Couple of marks to neck ring are lump on the glass so are from making. A few little scratches and scuff marks. A prime example. I have listed this in goldfields, but it is a later item from the later 1800s. This colour glass usually came out of the European glassworks of the 19th century, so this may be a French pickle or similar? Whatever the case, it is a wonderful item with the upside down hearts and anchor on it, and would add to any pickle collection! Grade: 8.8 Estimate: $100 - 150
