Excellent. The Huia was a large New Zealand wattle bird that is now extinct. The wire handle is a bit rusty. A bit of wear around the lip edge, there is a spot or two around the shoulder as well which is minor. Shiny glaze has pinpricks through it from making. Some scratches to be found. Crude swirls to the pottery from making. Some black specks, these appear to scrape off. A few discoloured spots, these may be under the glaze from making. A lovely piece, I believe these are reasonably sought after in New Zealand as well. Grade: 8.5 Estimate: $300 - 400
