(New South Wales) (James A. Lerk Collection) Aerated Water Various 1. Machine made. Amber. 7 oz. 2. Skittle shape. Blob top. Spun finished top. Dark Amethyst. 6 oz. 186 & 173 mm. 1940s & 1910s
1. Very Good. Couple of tiny nicks to outer right lip. Small nibbled mark to upper rear lip. Some nibbles and impacts around the base edge. Some wear to the trade mark. Other embossing has some high point wear. Scuffs and scratches and the odd little fisheye. (7.5). 2. Fair. Lovely cobalt colour! Just kidding, this looks a bit blue at times, but is in fact a very dark purple, almost black! This has the distinctive zapped blue hue to it, not the natural deep amethyst colour. Nibbled chip to the lip. Couple of impacts to upper and outer lip. Jagged crack runs right around the upper neck with four legs going up and down from this, the longest goes down the neck about 30 mm. Deep scratch to side of bottle, this looks like a cut mark. Nibbled burst bubble to base heel. A few impacts to the base edge. Some body impacts. Scattered scuffs and scratches. Regardless of being zapped, this is the darkest example I have ever seen, even for zapped bottles. (4.4) Grade: N/A Estimate: $30 - 50
