Very Good. Tail out variety. Ground lip has less of the typical flakes, there are only a couple of small ones. There is, however, a sliver chip from the rear lip on the inside which expands out and runs along the lower curve of the inner lip over about 27 mm or so. This actually extends further either side on the inside of the lid seat as a shallow flake that can be seen from the outside without the lid in place. Extensive band of wear to outer lip, there has been a coating of lacquer applied to this at some stage to minimise the dullness, this has discoloured over time though and is also now flaking off. The wire is rusty, but functional. Some grime, nothing that does not look like it will wash off. Some minor usage wear under the base. A bit of stain near inner front base, may well soak out. Some minor scratches and marks. Lid is pretty good with only minor marks. A classic jar! Grade: 7.2 Estimate: $250 - 350
